There is no other program like this, for all money raised here stays here in Galveston County and is used to fund the D'Feet Breast Cancer, Inc. free screening mammography and follow up care program for Galveston County women who qualify.
 

 

Mission

  • To work with other organizations to promote early detection of breast cancer and to provide breast cancer educational
    programs
    in Galveston county.
  • To expand the fight for early detection of breast cancer through raising funds for free screening mammograms for uninsured, underserved women ages 40 - 65.

D'Feet Breast Cancer, Inc. is a grassroots, volunteer, non-profit
organization - 501(C) (3) formed in 2001 to help uninsured and
underserved Galveston County women to obtain screening mammograms.
 The same program teaches the women breast self examination (BSE)
and the importance of doing this monthly through our Educational
Outreach Programs. Partners – University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Galveston County Health District, Breast & Cervical Cancer Program of Galveston County Health District, The Jesse Tree,
Mainland Center Hospital and Victory Breast Imaging Center
in League City.
