D'Feet is a non-profit organization run by extraordinary volunteers. In addition, there are Angels whose names remain unknown. Because of these "Very Special" people, D'Feet has thrived, and continues to save lives. Over the years, D'Feet has honored philanthropists, scientists, physicians, volunteers, specific Program Directors and breast cancer survivors. The title "Angel of Honor' is the highest praise D'Feet can offer an individual who has served humanity.
For those who have not experienced a medical challenge such as Breast Cancer few understand the network of care that is necessary to ensure success for the patient and the continued advance of the D-Feet Breast Cancer Program. The continued dedication of the health care providers, those who volunteer their time and assist in needed areas. Those who keep the funding programs up to date, the team is energized to make a difference and could not be thanked enough. Family - loved ones and friends, and all involved in giving love and spiritual support, for those with the disease are irreplaceable. McDonalds is proud of being a small part of this program.
"As the owner of several Mcdonalds locations in Galveston County I was approached by Dolly Warren to support D'Feet Breast Cancer. I knew very little about the destruction of breast cancer, and even less about Dolly and D'feet. As the years have passed and D'feet has grown, I take great pride in knowing that I have been a part of that growth! It is an honor to work with founder Dolly Warren in the crusade to really defeat breast cancer. By keeping money and efforts in Galveston County, the saying, "caring starts at home" really applies here. Several years ago, my Aunt died of breast cancer. Perhaps, had there been a D'Feet Breast Cancer then, she would have survived. As long as there are people like Dolly and the other supporters of D'Feet Breast Cancer, focusing their efforts in Galveston County, no one will be alone in their education, detection, and fight against this disease. It is my honor to be associated with such a hard working organization." - Robert Flores
