D'Feet Breast Cancer, Inc. 2011-12 Art Bra Contest
Guidelines for Uplifting Ideas^© Exhibit

All Bras will be on Exhibition at the
Buchanan Gallery, 220 25th St,
Galveston, Texas 77550
Beginning ARTWALK March 10th through April 14, 2012
(There will be a small reception for the artists after Artwalk opening night March 10)

Visitors to the Gallery will be able to cast one vote for their favorite bra, throughout the Exhibition. In addition, the public will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite bra at the D'Feet fun run, Celebration of Life Event at Moody Gardens, Saturday morning, October 29.

There will be a photographic display of each entry around the circle in front of Moody Garden's Visitor Center at the run/walk. Runners and walkers can vote at that time for their favorite bra entry.

All bras will be auctioned at the D'Feet Gala on May 19 at The San Luis Hotel, Galveston, Texas. Artists will be invited to attend the Gala. We regret that this is a fundraiser for D'Feet so we must charge the ticket price to attend.

The five bras with the most votes will be declared winners of the prizes after the Gallery exhibition closes, on April 14, 2012. Winning entries will receive their check in the mail.

There is a non-refundable fee of $25 per bra to enter Uplifting Ideas^©.
Only one bra can be entered per person/artist.
If multiple artists contribute to one bra, supply only one person's contact information.

You can download a registration form here, fill it out and mail with check for $25 to:

All Registration forms must be mailed along with
check for $25 by October 1, 2011.

Please include in your box with your bra, a hard copy of your registration form & title of your bra.  Please mail those items directly to:

So that we can expect your entry, after mailing your bra:
Send an email to Kathi Buchanan (kathi@buchanangallery.com) with the subject line "D'Feet - your name"
Include in it your:
Inspirational story and a 5 x 7 color picture of the artist holding the bra entry

All Bras must be postmarked by October 20, 2011
Only the FIRST 75 bras will be accepted for the
2011-2012 Uplifting Ideas^© Exhibit

No hand-delivered bras will be accepted
